I was looking for a nice solution to carry my cell phone Samsung Omnia 2 in my car. I found Brodit from Sweden and saw they everything i need. But i didn't want to buy a holder specifically made for my Omnia2 since i change my GSM phone once a year or so, but continue to own a car for 5 to 10 years.
So instead of going for Brodit Omnia i8000 holder which is fixed size, i decided to give it a go with Brodit holder for IPhone 511165, that is adjustable in width. My Omnia 2 (i8000) fits nicely in the holder. And many other phones should fit in there nicely.

There is some space left cause the Iphone is little thicker than Omnia2, but i managed to solve that with a thin strap glued to the inner side of the holster.

I should mention that this does not fit perfectly on my Mazda 5 2009 TX (European model) dashboard cause it is covering air went wheel. But i can live with that...
